Whether you're using a desktop or a mobile device, there are
several ways you can pin posts on Facebook. Pinning posts helps you to make
sure that important announcements and updates are at the top of your page and
in front of your followers. It also helps you to promote your posts. For
example, if you're a member of a Facebook group, you can pin a post to the top
of the group page. If you're a group manager, you can pin up to 50
announcements at once.
To pin a post on Facebook, you first need to login to your
account. Then, you need to find the post you want to pin. You can also post
comments, add photos, videos and files. If you're using an iPhone, you can even
pin a post to a page.
Once you've found the post you want to pin, tap the three
dots at the top right of the post. This will bring up a menu. From the menu,
select the option Pin to Top of Page. Once you do this, you'll see a little
orange banner at the top of the page. If you want to delete a pinned post, you
can select Pin to Unpin From Top of Page. You can also remove a post by
clicking the three dots next to the post.
Pinned posts are great for highlighting interesting content.
You can include a photo, a link or a description, and you can also use a catchy
video to summarize an organization or business. You can also choose to add a
call to action, such as signing up for a free tech tool or signing up for a
podcast. Using images helps you to stand out more than other media, and it is
also a great promotional banner.
Pinning posts can be done on Facebook or Twitter. You'll
need to log into your account through the app. Once you're logged in, you'll
see a menu bar at the top of the page. From there, select Pages. If you don't
see the Pages menu, you may need to scroll down. If you do see the Pages menu,
select More. You can also tap the More button twice to make sure the post stays
at the top of the page.
You'll notice that pinned posts have a thumbtack or pin icon
next to them. You can also use the Featured carousel to scroll through your
pinned posts. However, pinned posts are not visible in the news feed, so they
won't be listed in Twitter. Depending on the Facebook page, you may be able to
only pin one post at a time. It's important to keep your pinned post updated.
This will help you to give your post time to gain traction. You can also change
your pins regularly to keep things fresh.
If you're a group manager, it's important to keep your
pinned post in front of your members. Facebook will notify group members when
an admin pins a post. It's also important to keep a pinned post on your page
for at least two days. If you don't pin your post in a timely fashion, it may
lose its value. You can also unpin a post, which will remove it from the
featured carousel and return it to its normal chronological order.
