If you are an administrator of a Facebook page for a
company, the first thing you need to do to remove yourself from the page is to
delete your role as an administrator. To accomplish this, navigate to the
business page and select "Settings" from the menu that appears in the
upper right corner of the page. From there, select "Page Roles" from
the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
Locate your name in the list of page admins, and then choose
"Remove." Facebook will inquire as to whether or not you are certain
about your decision to deactivate your admin account. After you have validated
your account, you will no longer be able to make any modifications to the page.
You are able to remove yourself from a Facebook business
page by leaving the page if you are not an administrator of the page but are
still a member of the page. To accomplish this, navigate to the business's page
and at the page's top, click on either the "Following" or
"Joined" button.
To leave the group or the page, click "Leave
Group" or "Leave Page." Facebook will ask you to verify that you
truly wish to quit the page before allowing you to do so. After you have
validated your membership, you will no longer be able to view the posts made on
the page or communicate with the other users of the community.
You have the option of requesting that the administrator of
a Facebook business page remove you from the page in the event that you are
unable to do so yourself. Contacting the page admin directly and requesting
that they remove you from the page is the first step in doing this.
Maintain your decorum and give an explanation for why you
wish to be removed. Within a few minutes, the administrator of the website
should be able to delete your account from the page.
You have the option of reporting a Facebook business page to
Facebook if you are unable to remove yourself from the page and the page admin
is not responding to your requests for removal.
To accomplish this, navigate to the business page and choose
the three dots located in the upper right hand corner of the screen. From that
point, select the option to "Give feedback or report this page."
Follow the on-screen instructions to send a report about the page to Facebook.
Facebook will conduct an investigation into the page and take appropriate
action if it deems it necessary.
